Lifting Equipment for High Shear Mixers

A leading manufacturer of High Shear Mixers approached Packline Materials Handling to assist in developing a lifting device that they could offer their customers as a safe and reliable means to handle their range of high shear mixer heads.
Utilizing the technology used on Packline’s ‘Compac’ range of lifting equipment, a purpose designed lifting machine and attachment was designed to lift and lower the mixer head assemblies in and out of mixing vessels.
Because the majority of applications would be in clean room environments, where hygiene and resistance to chemicals was of paramount importance, the shear mixer head lifter was produced in stainless steel.
To enable access to large diameter mixing vessels, the high shear mixer lifting equipment was designed with a wide leg span.
Built to meet the latest international health and safety directives, the high shear mixer lifting equipment incorporates many features ensuring both operator safety and ease of use:
Electrical overload trip
Emergency stop button
Lift and lower travel limit switches
Manufactured with three different attachments and catering for loads of up to 110kg, the lifter covers the complete standard range of high shear mixers, and for those special applications Packline offers a full bespoke design service.
Technical Specification:
Maximum Capacity = 110kg
Load Centre = Dependent on requirements
Attachment Mass = 10-30kg
Main Materials = Stainless Steel 304

Drum Palletizer

Packline has been manufacturing materials handling systems since 1993 and with its range of lifting equipment has established itself as a leading supplier of materials handling equipment.

Packline’s latest drum lifter, the new quick release drum palletizer, is a cost effective alternative when no drum turning or tipping is required, ideal for lifting drums on and off pallets.

The drum palletizer handles the drums by gripping the lip of the drum for a safe and reliable pick up. The ‘Parrot-Beak’ clamp cradles to protect the drum’s sidewalls and offers a powerful lifting mechanism for loads up to 400kgs.

The versatile rim gripping drum lifter can handle up to 4 drums at a time. The unique gripping head ensures safe movement of all steel, plastic 'L' ring and fibreboard drums.

Interchangeable heads are available for different drum lip configurations.

The ‘Parrot-Beak’ griper can be fitted to a number of Packline’s heavy duty lifters, solving numerous lifting issues.

The ideal solution to increase efficiency and improve health and safety conditions.

If you would like more details of the drum palletizer or any of Packline’s lifting and handling solutions, please visit www.packline.co.uk or phone us on +44 (0)1202 307 700.

Reel Handling with Geared Rotation

Fully automated reel handling is now available from Packline. Geared rotation and automatic ejection of the reels eliminates all manual handling.
Packline’s  ‘Compac’ range of reel handling equipment, coupled with its comprehensive range of interchangeable attachments, provides lifting and handling solutions for most applications found in today's production environments. This stainless steel reel handling equipment is suited for clean room environments found in the food, drinks, diary, pharmaceutical and medical processing industries.

Reel Handling with Geared Rotation and Mechanical Ejection
The fully mechanical Vertical Spindle attachment from Packline is now available. All manual handling has been eliminated with the fully mechanical Vertical spindle reel handling attachment.
Geared Rotation allows the operator to re-orientate the reel just by the rotation of the hand-wheel.
  • The fully integrated ejection plate enables the reel to slide off the spindle by turning the crank handle, which eliminates the need for the operator to manually push the reel off which can cause injury.
  • Most reel sizes can be catered for and therefore each application is reviewed individually.
  • Maximum Capacity = 100kg
  • Load centre = 659mm from front of column
For further information on reel handling equipment with geared rotation or the full range of lifting and handling equipment, please contact Packline Materials Handling on +44 (0)1202 307700 or visit http://www.packline.co.uk.

Roll Lifting and Handling with Clamp Attachment

The unique roll handling heavy duty clamp attachment from Packline solves a wide range of large and heavy duty lifting and handling problems.
Heavy Duty Roll Lifting and Handling

This style of clamp attachment operates by having one fixed pad and one moving arm where the pad self-aligns to grip the reel or roll.

  • The moving arm is operated via a powerful linear actuator with a built-in torque unit to ensure that the appropriate level of grip is achieved.
  • The actuator removes the need for hydraulics which is not suitable for some industries.
  • The clamp can be rotate via the electrical rotation mechanism.
  • This smooth rotation is operated via a pendant handset.
  • The clamp can be rotated up to 180 degrees to re-orientate reels easily.
  • This range of clamps offers solutions for a number of reel sizes and loads up to 450kg depending on the reel.
Packline offer a wide range Heavy Duty Lifting and Handling Equipment, including roll lifting and handling equipment, designed to reduce injury to operating personnel, downtime and damage during transportation of stock from storage to processing machinery.

The lifting equipment’s flexible design coupled with a full range of lifting attachments provide a comprehensive solution for handling  loads up to 1200kg.

Along with the standard range of products, Packline provides a full bespoke design and manufacturing service to meet customers’ individual requirements.

  • Continuous production
  • Fits most machines
  • Easy to use
  • Designed for forming material
  • Flexible to retrofit
