Drum and Barrel Handling with the Platform Attachment

The new platform attachment was designed in order to allow barrels or drums to be lifted and rotated without the use of a clamping mechanism.

This platform attachment allows the barrel or drum to be loaded easily and strapped to the side panel of the attachment. The design of the platform attachment keeps the drum or barrel in place during rotation.

In addition, a strong and durable strap, with a metal tightening mechanism, locks the barrel or drum into place.

The geared rotation mechanism allows for easy rotation of the barrel or drum at a steady and smooth rate.

The attachment has a safe working load (SWL) of 100kg.

The drum lifter with platform attachment is the ideal solution to increase efficiency and improve health and safety conditions.

Packline Materials Handling are able to provide bespoke lifting and handling solutions for materials handling issues involving rolls, reels and drums; by creating new concepts or tailoring existing lifting and handling equipment to meet specific requirements.

The lifter’s ‘slow start’ feature allows the operator to accurately line up the lifter and material to insert into the required loading frame.

The swivel castors allowed the lifter to be moved around in tight spaces.

Specifications:

Platform dimensions: 900 x 350 mm
Safe Working Load: 150kg
Minimum Height: 176mm
Maximum Height: 1563mm

Roll Handling with Low Profile Overhead Clamp Attachment

Ideally suited for clean room environments, the stainless steel ‘Compac’ range of roll and drum handling equipment from Packline Materials Handling is ideal for the food, drinks and pharmaceutical industries.
The overhead low profile clamp attachment is designed for loading rolls of cylindrical material into, and out of, containers, boxes or shrink wrapping machine mandrels.

This roll handling solution can also be used for lifting rolls from a pallet to be lowered onto a vertical mandrel on a shrink wrapping machine.

The clamp attachment has very low profile pads which only engage onto first 100mm of the roll, as the mandrel configuration on the shrink wrapping machine has very limited space around it.  Due to the low profile pads, this is also an ideal solution for lifting and lowering reels or other cylindrical items into boxes or containers.

The small size of the clamp attachment makes this solution suitable for use in restricted and confined spaces.

The rolls of material are handled only from the top, allowing them to be lowered securely and with no interference from the attachment clamp pads themselves.

Rolls of material up to a capacity of 100kg can be handled depending on requirements. Bespoke handling solutions are available tailored to customer needs. The length and width of the clamp attachment pads can be varied to provide the most suitable solution.

For further information on roll handling equipment with low profile overhead clamp attachment or the full range of lifting and handling equipment, please contact Packline Materials Handling on +44 (0)1202 307700 or visit http://www.packline.co.uk

Reel Handling Equipment with side-loading Cradle Attachment

New to Packline is the reel handling equipment with side-loading cradle attachment. This new concept is ideal in situations where access to the packaging machinery is restricted. Manufactured from stainless steel, the range of reel lifting equipment from Packline is designed for lifting and handling reels of film, foil or packaging material, suitable for the food, drinks, medical and pharmaceutical industries.
·         The side loading cradle attachment is suitable for handling lightweight reels of packaging material to a capacity of 30kg. Higher capacity reels can be handling by Packline’s bespoke handling equipment.
·         The reel or roll of material is loaded onto the sideways facing cradle attachment. This is designed for situations where there is limited or no access to the packaging machinery from the end of the line.
·         This reel handling equipment is suitable for side-loading the reels or rolls of packaging material midway down the packaging processing line.
This concept was originally designed for a pharmaceutical company that required access, in a restricted space, to the packaging processing line. The small footprint of the reel handling equipment, together with the new side-loading cradle attachment, enabled the reels or rolls of packaging material to be loaded onto the packaging line in a narrow and restricted space.
Packline Materials Handling are able to provide bespoke lifting and handling solutions for materials handling issues involving rolls, reels, barrels, drums and tooling; by creating new concepts or tailoring existing lifting and handling equipment to meet specific requirements.
For further information on roll handling equipment with the side-loading cradle attachment, or the full range of materials handling equipment, please contact Packline Materials Handling on +44 (0)1202 307700 or visit http://www.packline.co.uk
