This roll handling solution with the vertical spindle hybrid lifting attachment uses a single
spindle design to lift a roll of film or foil in the horizontal position, but
also the technology from the vertical spindle to grip the inside of the core,
to ensure that the roll cannot slide off the lifting attachment.
This solution is suitable for clean room environments such
as those found in food processing and pharmaceutical industries.
The vertical spindle
attachment uses a technology which allows the core of a roll to be gripped.
The roll can then be lifted and rotated as required.
The single spindle
attachment uses a similar concept; however the roll may only be lifted in
the horizontal position and moved the same orientation.
This lifting solution is operated with the use of a remote
control pendant to allow the operator to stand to the side of the lifter in order
to raise the reel to the appropriate height.
This lifting attachment allows the operator some additional
reassurance when lifting a reel on a single spindle that the reel is less
likely to slide or move.
