Packline ‘Compac’ Lifter with Platform Attachment for Lifting and Handling Sacks of Material

The bespoke dual column lifter, from Packline, was designed to lift sacks of ingredients from a pallet to a mezzanine floor with a height of 2.8m.

Packline’s standard ‘Compac’ Lifter is limited to lift to 2.5m as standard for safety and practicality reasons.

However, in this instance, a platform attachment was needed to reach higher than 2.5m.

The requirement was to lift 25kg sacks of material up to a mezzanine floor; the operator then opened the sack when stood up on the mezzanine floor.

To achieve this requirement, a dual column has been fitted to the ‘Compac’ lifter in order to reach a height of up to 2.8m from the platform attachment.

Simple push button controls on a mounted pendant remote control allow the operator to lift the sacks using the main lifter column first, or by the dual column separately.

Once at the required height, the sacks can be taken from the platform attachment and placed onto the mezzanine, or another truck, for example.

The stainless steel structure makes this lifting solution suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Extra leg supports were added to the ‘Compac’ Lifter to ensure maximum safety levels at height, and an efficient and manoeuvrable design for the customer.
