Die Block Lifter with Twin Spindle Attachment

The die block lifter with twin spindle attachment uses two spindles with a die block on each. These die blocks can in turn have chains added to attach to the die.

Within the food and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries there are many types of production line with different tooling and die blocks depending on the product being run on that processing line.

Many production lines have a range of dies and tools. The problem is handling these heavy items. This is where the Packline ‘Compac’ Lifter and its range of attachments can solve the problem.

Often, access to the dies and tools is difficult as they are situated in the middle of the production lines. These access issues can be resolved using suitable lifting equipment.

The chains can be hooked onto or underneath the die which is then lifted via the ‘Compac’ Lifter. There is a support bar across the centre, between the two spindles, for added stability during lifting and moving.

The die blocks and the support bar are both secured in place with ‘star knobs’, meaning that they are easy to remove enabling the lifter to be used as a standard lifter with twin spindle attachment.

Roll Handling with the Cut-Out Single Spindle Attachment

Packline Materials Handling new single spindle attachment with ‘cut-out’ incorporates the standard single spindle design, but with a cut-out section through the horizontal to allow for any fixtures or fittings on the reel itself or the processing machinery to be unaffected; thereby lifting the roll via its core without causing damage to the roll or machinery.

The spindle lifting attachment if designed to transport rolls of film or foil to a racking system where the rolls are supported to small booms. The cut-out section on the spindle allows the lifting attachment to support the central core of the reel but clears the support boom.

The central carriage of the lifting equipment is fitted with a ‘proximity switch’ to precisely lift the roll to the exact height specified by the operator. Full movement of the attachment can still be achieved by pressing the override button when the pre-specified height is not required.

The top of the ‘cut-out’ sections are fitted with Delrin strips which protect the core of the reel from slicing or cutting.

Specifications:

Safe Working Load:  85kg

Attachment Mass:  9.2kg

Maximum Reel Length:  750mm

Platform Lifting Attachment with Rollers

This bespoke design platform attachment with rollers has been developed in order to allow loads to be lifted and lowered and then removed from the lifting attachment itself as smoothly as possible.

This lifting solution involved handling 20 litre barrels. The barrels were loaded onto the roller attachment, and then easily and efficiently removed from the lifter to the storage racking using the platform attachment’s sliding roller mechanism.

The acetal rollers are strong, robust and wear resistant, ideal for clean room environments such as those found in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The stainless steel lifter itself is specifically designed for use in food and pharmaceutical industries.

The full locking ‘door’ at the front of the platform attachment, means that goods can be transported whilst on the attachment rollers without the risk of the load falling from the lifter. This increases the overall safety of the lifter.

The attachment rollers also have suitable clearance between each other. This enables the rollers to be easily cleaned to ensure suitability for clean room environments.

Specifications:

·         Safe working load = 60kg /132lb

·         Attachment Mass = 28kg /61lb

·         Main materials = aluminium 6082T6, stainless steel 304, delrin, acetal.

·         Bespoke lifting solution to suit the specific lifting and handling requirements of the customer.
