Stainless Steel Adjustable Cradle Attachment For Handling Rolls Of Paper, Foil And Film

The adjustable, clamping cradle attachment has been designed and produced to fulfil a customer’s requirement of lifting, transporting and loading different sizes of rolls of paper and film to a range of different packaging machines.

Constructed from stainless steel, the lifter is suitable for clean room environments, such as those found in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The unique design supports the rolls by using a lifting shaft which is positioned through the central core of the roll.  The shaft is retained at each end by a pair of securing latches.  This ensures a safe and efficient solution which provides simple and controlled operation.

The lifting shaft is of a set length which enables the handling of many roll widths. The clamp attachment can be quickly and easily adjusted by a handwheel to suit the specific roll which is being handled at any one time.

The lifter raises and lowers the attachment by a battery powered mechanism and is operated by simple up and down buttons which are located ergonomically on the machines handle bars.

The design offers strength and durability with ease of operating and is suitable for the food industry and other hygienic applications as the solution is manufactured in stainless steel.

Die Lifting and Turning Equipment used in Pie Making

The Die Block Rotating Equipment was designed in response to an enquiry made by a customer who had been trying to solve a long standing and potentially dangerous lifting issue.

In response, Packline designed and produced a safe and efficient solution which provides simple, cost effective and controlled operation.

The operator currently pulls a 60kg die block out of a pie machine by hand to a trolley that holds several dies in racks. There is a bending issue for lower levels, and a risk lifting to higher levels of the trolley.

The die block handling attachment can lift multiple size lid moulding die blocks to and from the storage trolley to the pie making machine.

The die blocks can rotate through 360 degrees, load and unload at a wide range of heights and they are secured in supporting arms by a pair of latch pins.  These features provide swift and easy docking with safe and reliable transportation and loading/unloading.

The lifting attachment’s gearbox rotation allows the operator to turn the die upside down for cleaning. This procedure could otherwise be a difficult handling issue.

The lifter raises and lowers the attachment by a battery powered mechanism and this is operated by simple up and down buttons which are located ergonomically on the machines handle bars.  The rotation is provided by a manual handwheel rotation through a gearbox drive.

The lifting equipment offers impressive strength and durability with ease of operating and is suitable for the food industry as the solution is manufactured in stainless steel.

Technical Specification:

Attachment Lift Capacity: 60kg / 132.28lbs
Centre of Gravity: 562mm / 22.13 inches (from column).
Attachment Mass: 29.5kg / 65.04lbs
Main Materials: Stainless Steel and Anodised Aluminium.
