Lifting Attachment for Handling and Rotating Food Ingredients

The bespoke mixing bowl handling attachment has been designed to suit the ‘Hobart 140 quart mixing bowl’.

This attachment is designed to safely lift, lower and rotate the mixing bowl.

Easy and controlled emptying of the ingredients is enabled by the motorised forward tipping action.

The mixing bowl of ingredients is retained and held by the lifting attachment by two slide-in locators, and secured on each side with the unique quick release system.

This lifting equipment is operated from the push button controls adjacent to the control panel which provides simple and safe action.

Constructed from stainless steel, the lifter is suitable for the food industry and other hygienic and clean room environments.

This lifting solution is supported by a full bespoke design service ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit any make or size if mixing bowl.

Specifications:

Maximum Attachment Lift Capacity:        140kg (308.65lbs)

Load Centre (Centre of Gravity):                545mm (21.46”) from column

Attachment Mass:                                         Stainless Steel and anodised aluminium.

Handling Rolls of Film or Foil with the Single or Double Reel Dolly

The small reel dolly from Packline Materials Handling is a bespoke design solution designed to easily manoeuvre horizontal reels on the roll or reel dolly.

Height varies between each design to suit the required load height or working height.

The reel’s core is left free for loading onto the mandrel of the production line.

Reel size capacities can vary depending on requirements, up to a capacity of 100kg for the single dolly and 200kg for the double dolly with this design.

This reel dolly is easy to manoeuvre with four or six swivel castors, or two swivel and two fixed castors.

The reel dolly has removable handlebars which can also be rotated into different orientations for operator comfort.

The reel dolly is constructed from stainless steel 304 (316 available on request), and therefore is suitable for food production environments and can also be washed down when necessary.

Packline Materials Handling is able to provide bespoke lifting and handling solutions for materials handling issues involving rolls, reels and drums; by creating new concepts or tailoring existing lifting and handling equipment to meet specific requirements.

Lifting Platform Attachment with Conveyor

The platform lifting attachment with conveyor system was developed for a bespoke lifting application. It was needed to lift large items of high value up to a specific height and then allow the load to be maneuvered onto and off the platform attachment easily.

The welded aluminium main frame ensures the structure is strong and robust and highly resistant to corrosion.

The platform lifting attachment has a safety flap fitted which ensures that the load being lifted cannot roll off the front of the ‘DeniRug’ conveyor system, whilst manoeuvring the lifter itself.

The conveyor units, bolted to the side panels of the platform attachment, are rated to ensure that they can hold the weight of the load being lifted. The conveyor rollers can be easily moved and replaced if necessary.

This lifting solution has electric lift and is fully stainless.

Specifications:

·         Safe working load: 150kg

·         Attachment Mass: 77kg

For more information on the lifting platform attachment with conveyor, or the full range of materials handling equipment, please contact Packline, or in the USA, Ultrasource LLC.

Reel Handling with the Clamping Vertical Spindle Attachment

This new reel handling concept from Packline Materials Handling overcomes the difficulty of handling telescoping rolls or reels.

Telescoping reels can occur if the material is not wound tightly enough around the core of the reel. This can make the reels difficult to lift and handle via the core.  This new and innovative way of clamping the external diameter of the reel of material, whilst still handling via the core, eliminates this problem.

The reel is rotated using a linear actuator whilst the clamping and finger expansion is carried out via hand wheels.

This is a quick and simple way to re-orientate difficult to handle reels of film or packaging material.

The clamping vertical spindle is built to order to suit specific requirements, handling a wide range of reel diameters and widths.

·         Maximum Safe working load = 130kg
·         Reel Diameters = 450-750mm
·         Electrically operated linear actuator to rotate reel 12 or 24v

Packline Materials Handling has been designing and manufacturing materials handling equipment since 1993, and with its range of stainless steel roll and drum handling equipment has established itself as a leading supplier of materials handling equipment for the food, drinks, dairy, pharmaceutical and medical processing industries.
